 A little about us and some general rules we live by.

Spirit Farms was established in 2009 and is a medicinal and culinary herb farm practicing all natural methods for production. We DO not use any herbicides, pesticides or chemical fertilizers.  We are located in northeastern Oklahoma on twenty acres.  Currently we are growing on close to 3/4 of an acre and plan to increase this to 2.5 acres next Spring. Over the course of the next three years, our plan is to have a combined total of 6+ acres planted, including our orchard.

Nothing is more important than the quality and safety of the food you consume. Knowing where your food source is coming from is highly important to further guarantee this factor. It is well known that most of the produce provided at the local supermarkets and grocery stores has traveled hundreds, if not thousands of miles to reach the stores. This not only cuts down on the nutrient value of the produce but consequently creates bland tasting and poor quality produce.  Still unsure of this?  While eggs are not produce this is a very easy, distingushable way to differenciate between the X farm and a local farm. 1. Go to your local food market and make a purchase on a dozen eggs.   2. Find a local farm who sells eggs and make a purchase on a dozen eggs. 3. Crack each egg open and you will find quite a significant difference is color, texture and once cooked, taste and appearance.  This is just one small example.

 It is just a simple fact, homegrown produce and herbs just taste better. If you are blessed with having a local producing farm nearby, by all means purchase these items from those farms.

 Thus far, the most important step that you can do is BUY LOCAL from LOCAL PRODUCING FARMS. Even better, find the producers that provide items that are grown free of chemicals. 

About us

We believe in providing quality herbs both for health benefits and cooking. We also strive to provide our animals on the farm with a lifestyle that allows them to have access to fresh air and exercise and are always treated well.

 We grow and produce medicinal herbs for wellness and offer several different processed herbal products for internal and external use.  We also have a small herd of dairy goats which provide fresh raw goat milk . Our goats are fed on a natural based grain and local alfalfa and prairie hay that is free of pesticides. They also are allowed free range to browse and forage.

We also have fresh eggs from our happy flock of pastured chickens. At this time we only have brown eggs available.  

 This year we will be growing several different heirloom tomatoes and various produce on a first come first serve basis. For a full list of items please click here.
